A campaign to generate one crore job in the next five years, accidental death compensation for businessmen, honorarium to block-level officers, which are part of calculation exercises-which is one of the 30 important new proposals that Nitish Kumar Cabinet approved before the Bihar assembly elections on Tuesday.
Announcing, Siddharth, Chief Secretary of the Cabinet, the Cabinet Secretariat Department, said that the Labor Resources Department had said that it would work with the public in private sectors between 2025 and 2030.
“A 12-member high-level committee will be formed, headed by the Development Commissioner, to implement the proposal to implement the scope and check the options. It will include 11 departments, finance, general administration, agriculture, rural development, animals and fish resources, industry, IT, science and technology, science and technology, education, tourism and labor resources, which work with the recommended ways to achieve job goals,” Said.
Among other major decisions, the Cabinet approved the Bihar Variety Durmatna Mirtu Anudan Yojana, 2025, under which the government will pay Rs 5 lakh to a businessman’s family in an accident as a pre-Gratia. The scheme applies to non-corporate taxpayers who are residents of Bihar or they have registered their own business in the state, as well as GST-registered traders.
The cabinet also approved Rs 394.41 crore as a grant-in-ed for secondary and higher secondary schools to pay teaching and non-teaching employees-a step that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar comes to the states after ending the two-decade-old uncontrolled education policy.

Prior to the election, the cabinet has approved a one -time honorarium of 6,000 to 77,895 booth level officers (BLOS) and 8,245 blo supervisors, which are currently engaged in the Election Commission of the Election Commission of the election role in the election role in Bihar. The cabinet has estimated Rs 51.68 crore for this.
It has also approved Rs 179.37 crore for the maintenance of the priority corridor of Patna Metro Rail Project from August 2025 to March 2028, and is another 21.15 crore to lease the three-car metro train for three years.

Additional approval includes Rs 80 crore for upgradation of equipment in 46 polytechnic colleges in Bihar, Rs 90 crore for government engineering colleges and Rs 7,832.29 crore for expansion and modernization of Western Kosi Canal Project, which is nearing completion by March 2029.
Apart from this, the cabinet has also approved Rs 5,119 crore and Rs 4,849 crore for two parts of the Ganga Path Project, a four-lane expressway with Ganga in-Patna, Bihar. Other important decisions include a monthly cap at Rs 25,000 on special allowances for bomb disposal squad personnel, and with the retrospective impact from 1 January 2016, annual increment for Bihar judicial service officers with state government employees.
The election of Bihar Legislative Assembly is later this year.
