In addition, there is progress in the list under several major schemes since returning to power in 2024: guarantee of income through MSP, a special national mission to promote domestic production of pulses and reduce import dependence, a special national mission, power access to rural areas, and cheap urea for all.

According to officials, the extensive subjects of the planned campaign of the government include: poor and marginalized, infrastructure development, women power, northeast, farmer welfare, national security and ease of doing foreign policy and business. Government schemes and initiatives will be grouped under these categories, cabinet ministers and state ministers expected to play an important role in the message.

Officials told The Indian Express The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I & B) began to collide the major reforms, achievements and initiatives for the last 11 years – as well as progress since June 2024 – in early April, to design a creative campaign. I & B Secretary Sanjay Jaju has written to all ministries to request relevant inputs for the campaign.

Additionally, the Ministry of I & B has been sought from other ministries a list of suitable places for media tours to showcase the government’s schemes on-ground implementation. According to officials, the purpose of tourism is to provide journalists an opportunity to interact with beneficiaries and other stakeholders, and witness the results of the first-hand.

The purpose of a month -long media tour is to highlight success stories, innovations and best practices to increase public awareness about government programs and initiatives.
