Police said nine people died and two others were hurt when a cement -filled trailer truck suffered injuries after overturning a van in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh in Wednesday hours, police said.
The accident occurred at around 2.30 pm when the victims were returning to the van from a wedding ceremony, he said, five minors were involved in connecting the deceased.
The trailer was crossing an under-construction rail over-bridge (Rob) via a temporary road near Sanjeli railway crossing under Meghnagar tehsil area, when he lost the balance and overturned on the van, Jhabua Superintendent of Police Padmavilochan Shukla told PTI.
He said nine people were killed and two others were injured in the accident.
The victims belonged to two families and were returning from a wedding ceremony in Bhavpura, who were in their original Shivgarh Mahuda village under Meghnagar tehsil.

The deceased have been identified as Mukesh Kadha (40), Savali Khapad (35), Vinod Khapad (16), Payal Khaped (12), Madhi Bamania (38), Vijay Bamania (14), Kanta Bamania (14), Ragini (9) and Akli Parmar (35).
The bodies were sent for post -mortem, and the injured persons were sent to Thandla Hospital for treatment.

The truck driver escaped after the accident, the official said, a case was registered and further investigation was going on.
