Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday saw the 11 -year rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the ‘Amrit Kaal’ of India and listed some of the “bold initiative” of the BJP -led Central Government, including the Northeast.
“With his work of 11 years, not only the people of India but also to the people around the world, it is possible to say that we can proudly say that we have not seen such a PM before. He does what they say. I say that these 11 years were our nectar period.”
Saha said that the Northeast was earlier known as a rebellion-affected area, but peace was restored there as thousands of terrorists joined the mainstream due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative.
Saha said that 11–12 peace agreements were signed by the Center with terrorists and other organizations, which led to peace in the area.
Sahia said that while calling Sikkim in the North Eastern Council (NEC), calling Ashtalakshmi, Modi began ambitious development in all areas of the region.
The Chief Minister said, “After becoming the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi said that India will not develop until the northeastern region is developing. Ashtalakshmi’s development is one of her priorities,” the Chief Minister said.
Saha said that in the last 11 years, various schemes were introduced to improve the socio-economic status of tribals, scheduled castes, and other backward classes, the reservation bill of women was passed in Parliament, the Ayushman Bharat Yojana was launched, the Triple Talak was abolished, and the Citizenship Amendment Act and the Waqf (Amndment).

He said, “In these 11 years, Prime Minister Modi’s government successfully brought 25 crore people above the poverty line. The promise made by Modiji. His contribution and performance will be written in golden letters in history,” he said that the Modi government’s mantra is “demonstration, accountability and good governance”.
“The International Monetary Fund says that India is now a bright place. In the future, a bright future of India is going to be … What is the World Bank saying … India is the fastest growing major economy and the main engine of global economic development in 2025 26,” he said.
Speaking about the recent encounter killings of 27 Maoists in Chhattisgarh, Saha said that the Modi government had almost eradicated the Maoist activities in the country and would end in the rest of the months.
In a diagonally context of the opposition Congress, Saha said that the country saw corruption and brother -in -law before 2014 was a common occurrence when Modi became Prime Minister.

In addition, Saha said that he had requested the Center to repair the fence along the Indo-Bangladesh border. “The border is being monitored. We have already brought it to the notice of the central government,” he said.
The Chief Minister also commented on BJP’s ally Tipra Motha’s identity of illegal migrants and inaction in exile, stating that the government was actively working on all issues as per the law.
Asked about the recent visit of the AIIMS delegation at AARAartala’s GBP Hospital, the Chief Minister said that the hospital has sufficient infrastructure.
“AIIMS did not give a report, but we talked. We have everything. They just need to be streamlined,” he said.
