Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder: CM Conrad Sangma says that 'there is no need for any CBI inquiry now'. Bharat News

Even due to the demand for CBI inquiry in the case of Meghalaya Honeymoon murder, Chief Minister Conyard Sangma said on Wednesday that he was satisfied with the police investigation, saying that only one reconsideration was possible if necessary in later phase.

“So far, there is no need for any CBI inquiry. The Meghalaya Police has done a wonderful job. The line of their investigation has been confirmed by both Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Police. The arrest was done only after all. Doubt … and there are some gaps, so we can think about it …,” Sangma told Indianexpress.com in a special interview.

The Chief Minister further said, “So far, statements of the accused and witnesses are being recorded and the crime site is being rebuilt. The police is working overtime. But we will give all the help to the judiciary to ensure that the matter has been tracked rapidly.”

The two members of the family of Raja Raghuvanshi, who have been killed, and their wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, accused of murder, are demanding a CBI inquiry. Raja’s family claims that more people, including Sonam’s mother, are involved in the murder, even Sonam’s family says she is being incorrectly implicated in the matter.

After their marriage in Indore, Raja and Sonam traveled to Meghalaya on a honeymoon journey. He disappeared on 23 May and the king’s body was found on 2 June. After that Sonam went missing.

Celebration offer

The murder case has focused on tourist security in Meghalaya.

“Many social media handles and national media painted us in black. But when all the non-Lokal was arrested, we were harassing him. Today people who speak against us know that the people of Meghalaya are not like this. It is not their nature. For us, for us, for us, safety of all is very important.” “This is our culture to forgive. In Christianity, we are taught to forgive people.”

“I think we should not fall into this trap. My only concern is that the name of Meghalaya should be cleared and a clear chit should be given to the local people and the state government. Apart from this, we need to learn from this to learn how to honor the citizens of other states,” Sangma said, as Chief Minister, he wants to be ready for everyone in the state.

“Both families have done a lot in the last few days. We need to show compassion, although I agree that such rigorous statements should not have been made. In fact, I would like to invite those who are saying negative things about Meghalaya, what kind of hospitality we see and how we treat tourists.

On Tuesday, Minister Alexander Lalu Hek demanded the families of both Sonam and Raja, who should apologize for “tarnishing the image of the state and its people” during the murder. If they do not comply, they also warned the families of the defamation case.
