The Dhanbad court has accepted a criminal complaint filed by Jharkhand’s BJP leader Sita Soren’s east-country Devishish Manoraranjan Ghosh, who has accused him of kidnapping, attacking, robbing and preparing him earlier this year.
Ghosh, who was the former PA of Soren, alleged that on 6 March he was taken to Dhanbad at the behest of Sita on the pretext of attending the wedding. He alleged that he was “dyerted from Vedlock Hotel to Sonotail Hotel in Dhanabad, where the conspiracy was faced”.
“On the evening of March 6, when I was resting at the hotel (Sonotel Hotel), I was asked to come out of the hotel, where about 15 people beat me up, looted money from my ATM and UPI apps, and I put weapons including a pistol (desi katta).” He said, “He filed an FIR against me at Sardhela police station under the Arms Act the same night and I was arrested soon. I spent 31 days in jail,” he said.
Ghosh claimed that “Sita Soren’s real reason behind the decline with me was political”. He said that Sita had accused Congress leader Irfan Ansari of “aligning” in the Zamtara seat during the November 2024 Jharkhand elections in an alleged attempt to “sabotage” her campaign. After his release on bail, Ghosh said he refrains from contacting the police and now selected to transfer Dhanbad court directly with his complaint against Sita.
The court held its first hearing in the case on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Sita has denied the allegations leveled by Ghosh, allegedly cheating Ghosh’s melody of `1.5 crore.
