'To avoid escalatry steps, urge both sides: India after the Israel-Iran struggle | Bharat News

India on Friday urged Iran and Israel to increase the tension between them after the two countries are engaged in tight-for-tat attacks.

The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that “the existing channels of dialogue and diplomacy should be used to work towards the de-size and to solve the underlying issues”. India urged both sides to avoid any escalatery move.

“We are deeply concerned about recent developments between Iran and Israel. We are closely monitoring the developed situation, including reports related to attacks on atomic sites,” said the MEA.

The statement came when Israel launched a military strike at Iran’s capital Tehran in the early hours of Friday – claiming that it targeted Iran’s atomic and military sites.

Mea further said that it was closely monitoring the development developed including reports of targeted attacks. India, which has a close and friendly relationship with the two countries, claimed its readiness to offer any possible support in facilitating peace.

“Our missions in both countries are in touch with the Indian community. All Indian citizens of the region are advised to take care, be safe and follow local safety advice.”
