Kerala Revenue Officer 'Insult' nurse who died in Ahmedabad Air India Crash, suspended | Bharat News

The Kerala government on Friday suspended an officer of a senior revenue department to make derogatory remarks about nurse Ranjita Gopkumaran, who was killed on Thursday. Aircraft accident near Ahmedabad Airport.

Revenue Minister K. Rajan suspended a pavithran of Vellicundu taluk in Kasargod district of Kerala, and called the nurse his Facebook post about “heinous”. He said that as soon as the officer’s post came under the government notice, suspension was ordered.

Now in the removed Facebook post, Pavithran allegedly made racist and obscene comments about Ranjita, who worked as a nurse in the United Kingdom. When the comments were widely aired, the officer withdrew them.

Ranjita, a nurse, who was originally from Pathanamthitta district, was returning to Britain, where she was working for almost a year when the aircraft she was meeting with the accident.

She is alive by her husband, Vinesh, two school -going children and her mother, Thulasi.

According to Panchayat member Johnson Thomas, “Ranjita came home from Britain three days ago. She got a nurse job in healthcare there, but came home on a short holiday to oversee her new house construction.”

Since she moved to the UK about a year ago, she wanted to complete her job contract there. The panchayat member said, “He plans to return to Kerala and work with the State Health Service.”
