Jammu and Kashmir chief Maulvi Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday condemned the Israeli attack on Iran, saying it had become a “wicked state”.
He said, “As long as the massacre on the Palestinians and is going away with it, Israel is now putting the entire Middle East in crisis. It has become a major threat to an evil state and world peace,” he said at the Jamia Mosque in Srinagar on Friday.
He asked the leaders of the United Nations and the world to “massacre” on Israel and the war from preventing war in Gaza and “targeting” other nations.
Since Eid, he was preaching his first Friday, Mirwaiz Farooq also said that J&K Lieutenant Governor should explain the Eid prayer sanctions.
“I want to ask the authorities – especially as LG is the head – that when he greets people and talks about the spirit of Eid and Islam in a very revered manner, then the Muslims of Kashmir are being prevented from praying for Eid at Eidgah, or is it?”
On 7 June, prayers were not allowed at the traditional prayer ground at the grand mosque or Eidgah on the day of Eid. Mirwaiz Farooq was also limited to its residence on Eid.
Refruiting a condemnation to the Jamia Mosque repeatedly closure, Mirwaiz said that “the story of the general post of 370 is very high as” oppressive measures “as” a myth “.
