A few days after the communal tension erupted in Dhubri, Western Assam after a temple remains near a temple, Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sarma visited the city on Friday and said that shoot-at-vision orders would apply in Dhubri district at night as “A communal group has become active to create disturbance”.
“The shoot-on-vision order will be issued soon after reaching Guwahati today,” CM told reporters in Dhubri.

Sarma said, “The shoot-on-vision order will be applicable in Dhubri district at night. Anyone who teases the stones, the police shoots them, if they suspect,” Sarma said.
The tension in the city of Bangladesh bordering Bangladesh began on Sunday a day after Eid, a cattle head near Hanuman temple began with the discovery of a head.
On Monday, tension increased with protests and stones escape and the police used tear gas to disperse the crowd and bring the situation under control.
The district administration had also issued prohibitive orders on Monday and shops and markets remained closed. On Tuesday, prohibitive orders were withdrawn with District Collector Dibakar Nath that the situation was under control.

Three days after withdrawing the prohibitory order, the Chief Minister visited Dhubri on Friday to review the situation.
He said, “Rapid Action Force (RAF) and CRPF personnel will be deployed in the district. I have asked the SP to arrest all the criminals in Dhubri, against whom there are non-bailable warrants,” he said.
CM also linked unrest in the city with “external elements”. A Muslim-Bahul district is located on the state border with Dhubri, Bangladesh. Sarma said, “A day before Eid, a group called ‘Nabin Bangla’ made calls to include Dhubri in Bangladesh.

He said that all those who have taken the law will be severely dealt with.
“Earlier during Bcrid, a part of people consumed beef, but this time thousands of cattle have been brought from West Bengal and a ‘new beef mafia’ has emerged in Dhubri, who bought thousands of animals before the festival,” Sarma said. CM said, “I have ordered an inquiry about this. I have instructed the officials that they have started this cattle trade.”
He said that next year, he himself will come to Dhubri on the day of Eid and will remain the next day.
Sarma said, “We cannot allow a part of the community to make such a disturbance. Our government will not tolerate it.” On Friday, Dhubri police said that 22 people have been arrested so far in connection with unrest in the city.
