Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Cyprus, Canada and Croatia from 15-19 June, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Saturday. According to the Mea statement, PM Modi will visit Cyprus on 15–16 June, before going to Canada to attend the G-7 summit in Kananskis on 16–17 June. He will then conclude the five -day visit in Croatia on 18 June.

“On the invitation of the President of Cyprus, Nicos Christodaulids, PM Modi will pay the official visit of Cyprus on 15–16 June. It will be an Indian Prime Minister’s first visit to Cyprus in two decades. While in Nicosia, the Prime Minister interacted with President Christodolides and addressed business leaders in limasole.”

The journey will confirm the shared commitment of the two countries to deepen bilateral relations and strengthen India’s engagement with the Mediterranean region and the European Union according to Mea.

Cyprus condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April and indicated that it would increase the issue of cross -border terrorism in the European Union level discussions. The visit will be on time as Cyprus is ready to handle the chairmanship of the European Union Council in the first half of 2026.

During the second phase of your journey, on Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s invitation, PM Modi will travel to Kananskis in Canada on 16-17 June to attend the G -7 summit.

This will be the 6th consecutive participation at PM Modi’s G -7 summit, the MEA said. At the summit, PM Modi will exchange views on important global issues with leaders of G-7 countries, other invited outreach countries and heads of international organizations, including “energy security, technology and innovation, especially A-Energy Nexus and Quantum-related issues”, according to the MEA.

PM Modi will also hold several bilateral meetings on the banks of the summit, officials say, even those meetings are being worked on.

In the final stages of his visit, PM Modi will hold an official visit on June 18, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrez Plankovic. This will be a first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in Croatia, an important milestone in bilateral relations.

PM Modi will hold bilateral discussion with Prime Minister Plankovic and meet the President of Croatia, Joran Milanovic. Croatia’s visit will also underline India’s commitment to further strengthen its engagement with partners in the European Union.

In view of India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Prime Minister canceled his three-nation tour in Europe, including Croatia, Norway and Netherlands.
