In its first assembly held here on Monday, the International Big CAT Alliance (IBCA) supported Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav as the president of a coalition of 95 countries created for conservation for seven big cats.
A statement said that the top body of the Assembly, IBCA also supported former IFS SP Yadav as Director General of IBCA.
The Vidhan Sabha saw Bhutan, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Liberia, Suriname, Somalia, Guinea Republic, Awatini and India delegation confirming the decisions taken by the IBCA. The objective support of the headquarters agreement signed by IBCA with India enabled the body to establish its headquarters and other offices in the host country.
The minister held meetings with the delegation from Liberia, Somalia, Cambodia, Eswatin and Guinea. India also agreed to work closely with Kazakhstan on snow leopard breeding.
