The police in Meghalaya are now looking for each other Dao, or Machete, which is detected by their investigation, during his honeymoon in Sohra last month in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, a resident of Indore, Eastern Khasi Hills SP Vivek Siem said on Tuesday.
The SP said that after taking all the accused in the murder case, the king’s wife, including Sonam Raghuvanshi, in a crime scene for a reconstruction.
Eim said that the police rebuilt the scene at five places, which were taken by the couple and the attackers on 23 May, the day the king was hacked near Wei Sodong Falls. The couple were on their honeymoon.
His body was recovered from a gorge under the falls on 2 June, after which the police also recovered a DAO, which he recognized as a murder weapon. However, the police said that during interrogation, they found that another DAO was also used in the attack and the three were attacked by the three alleged attackers, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Anand Kurmi and Akash Rajput.
“We have discovered what was the situation just before the murder, which stood, and how the blasts. The first blow was made by Vishal.
“Sonam was there when all this happened. He gave him an indication from the parking lot that he should finish the job … when the first strike was given by Vishal and he (the king) fell, he ran away because he was screaming,” Symam said.
He said that the attackers tried to attack the king at another place, three-four kilometers before Wei Sodong Falls, but left it when he started going away.

“According to him, it was coincidentally that he chose this place. There were many places where they wanted to finish him … When they reached this place, they found that it was empty and there was an approach where they could settle the body,” he said.
Sonam, three attackers and Raj Kushwaha, who were allegedly in a relationship, were arrested in connection with the murder last week. Syiem said that the accused had accepted the crime during the investigation.
“These reconstructions have been based on inquiries for the last few days that we have been doing for the last few days. In the interrogation, they have confessed for crime. We just had to organize how they have done it … Therefore, we have got a very clear picture. We have received a very clear picture. We have recorded videography, and we have got free witnesses to cover it,” SP said.
