Ministry of Home Affairs to facilitate the progress of the career of former Agnives | Bharat News

The Cabinet Secretariat has issued a gazetted notification, asking the Union Home Ministry to coordinate activities for further progress of the former-unknowns after their tenure with the armed forces. “The government had amended the allocation of commercial rules, in 1961, coordinated the activities for further progress of former-governments by including a new point in the second program under the states of the Union Home Ministry states,” said this.

In June 2022, the government rolled out the Agneepath Recruitment Scheme with the aim of bringing down the age profile of three services. Under the Agneepath scheme, the candidates between the age group of 17-and-half years and 21 are enrolled in the Army, Air Force and Navy, with the provision to maintain 15 percent of 15 percent as agenavars for a period of 4 years and 25 percent of them for years.

The government has already reserved 10 percent of jobs for former-generalists in all the future appointments of the constables in 11-million central armed police forces like CRPF, BSF, CISF, SSB etc.

Any physical test will not be required for the recruitment of pre -ageniers in paramilitary forces as such tests have already been conducted by the army. They would just need a physical fitness certificate, an official said.

Various central government agencies and departments have also announced a plan to recruit pre -Agnives.
