Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday launched a nationwide campaign EK Paid Mala to increase ecological balance at Maharani Tulsibati Girls Higher Secondary School and to ensure environmental protection.
The campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to motivate citizens to plant trees tries to raise awareness of the environment to promote ecological balance by strengthening the bond of gratitude to someone’s mother.

He said, “Trees give us life just like their mothers. They provide oxygen, shelter and nutrition. This campaign fulfills two objectives -accepts our mothers and ensures a healthy planet for our future generations. We are trying to give a personal relationship for nature by including students and their mothers,” he told reporters.
Saha was accompanied by Rawal Hemendra Kumar, Special Secretary of Special Education, Nekan Sharma, students, teachers and parents, Director of Primary and Secondary Education.
