Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday called for close cooperation on minerals at the age of AI and said that no country should use them for their interests. He also said that the intensive energy demands of AI can be met only through renewable sources.
“Ensuring cheap, reliable and durable energy for India is a top priority. To achieve this, we are focusing on solar energy and small modular reactors. We are also developing smart grids, energy storage systems and green energy corridors to connect renewable energy production to demand centers.”
He said: “We should adopt a human-focused approach. Everyone recognizes AI’s ability. However, the real challenge is that it ensures that AI devices increase human dignity and empowerment.”
“First of all, we should work towards an international governance that promotes innovation and addresses concerns related to AI. Second, at the age of AI, close cooperation in the areas of important minerals and technology is extremely important. We should focus on securing and strengthening the flexibility of their supply chains.
