The first flight to carry more than 100 students, which was evacuated from war -torn Iran to Armenia, landed in Delhi in the early hours on Thursday. Increasing the conflict between Israel and Iran, Indian students were taken out of the city in Tehran, 110 of them were crossing the border in Armenia, through the arrangements made by the Indian Embassy under the ‘Operation Sindhu’ by the Indian Embassy on Tuesday.
The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar for starting an effort to withdraw withdrawal.
The association said in a statement, “We hope that all the remaining students will be evacuated soon.”
The parents of some students were eagerly awaited outside the airport for their children.

Hyder Ali, father of 21 -year -old Maz Haider, a student of MBBS in Iran thanked the Government of India for the rescue efforts.
“We are really happy. Students are safely brought back home. We thank the Government of India for this. But we are sad that the students, who are trapped in Tehran, have not been saved,” he said. PTIAnd urged the officials to still vacate the students trapped in Tehran.
Sameer Alam’s father Parvez Alam was also seen waiting for his son at the airport.

Mir Khalif, a student of MBBS, who landed in Delhi, said that it was a stressful situation in Iran. He said, “We could see the missiles. A war was going on. Our neighborhood was bombing. We were very afraid of the situation. I hope we will never see those days again,” he told reporters.
Khalif thanked the Government of India for emptying Armenia first and then bringing them back home.
He said, “There are still students in Iran. They are being transferred to safe places. We hope they will also come to India soon.”
Another Indian student Ali Akbar said that when he was traveling in a bus towards Armenia, he saw a missile and a drone falling.
The Delhi student said, “The situation shown in the news is correct. It is very bad. Tehran has been destroyed.”
