On a motorcycle, two people allegedly fired on the Polo Road on the Polo Road on a youth near the houses of Janata Dal (United) Minister Ashok Chaudhary and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashvi Yadav on Thursday morning, in which the police claimed.
Polo Road area, which comes under the jurisdiction of the police station of the airport, is considered to be one of the safest neighborhoods in Patna, several ministers, judges and senior officials.
According to police, the attackers attempted to rob Rahul to the driver working for a driver, while he was on his way to work around 8:15 am. The victim became unwell and the attackers took Rs 400 in cash, “But left their phones and other items untouched”, Patna City (Central) SP Dixit said.
“Two people on a bike stopped the victim, who was also on a motorcycle, and looted it at the tip of the gun. A bullet was also fired, but no one was injured … The police recovered a bullet shell from the spot and reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects. The raids are running to catch them.”
RJD leader Tejashvi Yadav reacted fast to the incident. In a post on X, he said: “Today, there has been firing outside my residence. In the NDA’s demon-rule, the morale of the state-protected criminals has become so high that dangerous criminals are openly roaming in high-protection areas-at a short distance from Raj Bhavan, the leader of the Chief Minister’s residence,”.
