The ongoing Israel-Iran’s struggle may not have an immediate effect on Indian military hardware and maintenance support, except that it turns into another prevalent struggle lasting several months, officials closely monitored the conflict. The Indian Express On Sunday.
A senior military official said, “The war is very new to show any performance on Indian military parts or hardware,” saying that any twist of arms stock can occur in an example of a long -designed conflict.
This is important because India is actively working on compensating for its Israeli-original weapons, which were used extensively in Operation Sindoor against Pakistan last month.
In the last decade, India has bought several military equipment and weapons from Israel, including missiles, unmanned air vehicles, sensors and radars, air defense systems and small weapons.
Many of these Israeli weapons and platforms – especially littering mutations and air defense systems – were used last month in Operation Sindoor launched by India inside Pakistan.
This includes Skystriker Loitering Munitions, Heron and Searters UAVS, Visual Range Air to Air Missiles beyond Derby, Spice 2000 Guided Bomb, Spike Anti-Tank Guided Missile, Spider Surface-Ai-Air Missile System, Barak 8 Air Defense Systems and Negav Lite Machine Guns and Negav Lite Machine Guns and Negav Lite Machine Guns and Negava Lite Machine Guns and Negave Lite Machine.
Many Israeli companies have participated and formed joint enterprises with Indian companies and will also help keep supply in India despite the war. “A series of high-accurate engineering companies in India, which carried out contract manufacturing for Israel, is likely to ensure the discharge of Israeli-origin equipment,” said an official.

This is contrary to the influence of another major ongoing global struggle-Russia-Ukraine War-initially delayed Indian military spare supply and S-400 Triumph long distance surface to air delivery schedule of missile system units in the air.
Officials explained this because many large platforms of the Indian Army such as fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, warships, air defense systems, and small arms are of Soviet origin, required heavy maintenance support from Russia, India has achieved over years compared to Israeli military hardware. This effect was also important because India started the maintenance of many Soviet-era military equipment indigenously.
Another major factor that influenced the Russian military supply to India was that the country was facing the US opponents through the Ban Act (CAATSA) in 2017. Russia was subjected to more rigorous economic sanctions than the West after the war began.
The Indian Air Force used the Israeli Spice 2000 guided bomb in Balkot Air Strike in February 2019. The army has procured advanced heron drones from the country in the last two years to increase monitoring with a real control line amid military deadlock with China.
