“He mentioned that (BJP National President) was under pressure from JP Nadda. I clarified that I would not resign, because my fight had always been for the people. Later, the Chief Minister told the media that it was his own decision (to leave me from the cabinet),” Gaud said.
“Is this wrong if a minister asks for accountability from a department?” He asked.
Gaud, a tribal leader, was dismissed from the cabinet on 18 June, almost three weeks later when he accused a portfolio organized by CM Sawant of corruption in the tribal welfare department.
When Gaud created a jib in the functioning of the Ministry of Tribal Welfare at a Preena Divas event on 25 May, Gaud said in his speech that day, “Gaud said,” Gaud said, “the money of the taxpayers is allocated to the Tribal Welfare Department. The MLA from the Priol Constitution sector also claimed that he was not allowed to meet the party high command in Delhi in the last three and a half years, as he joined the BJP in 2022. Gaud said that he joined the party without meeting anyone in Delhi as he had “full faith” under the leadership of the state. He said, “I won and became a minister, I requested to appear under the leadership of the Central Party. The meeting was never arranged. Now, I have started to understand why,” he said.
Gaud said that he has written letters to inform President Dupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Nadda about “events in the state”.
He said, “I will send this speech to Hindi, English and Marathi as well and send it to the leaders in Delhi so that they do not make any wrong story,” he said.
Gaud asked, “Does the government take a decision on the basis of media reports?”

Quoting from a book on the life of former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Gaude said that when Parrikar was ill and hospitalized in 2019, he called Goud and told him that he was asking MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikar to lead the cabinet. Gaud said that he opposed the move and suggested Sawant’s name.
Gaud said, “At the time when there was a discussion about who should be the next Chief Minister, I suggested Dr. Pramod Sawant’s name … because he is my friend and former classmate,” Gaud said.
Goud said he was “happy” that he was removed from the cabinet on 18 June (Goa Revolution Day), saying that it felt symbolic that “my revolution (revolution) had always been about raising people’s voice”.
