The training for the newly involved women constables in the Uttar Pradesh Police Force was scheduled to start in the Saharanpur police lines last week when Police Inspector Virendra Bahadur saw that there was a mismatch in the number of trainees expected to report to the center. Bahadur said in his police complaint, “We were expecting 249 trainees and 250 came. It was an additional.”
Police arrested a 22 -year -old woman, who allegedly refused documents in a dialect to join the police force, on Monday the police identified the accused as Meenakshi, a resident of Agra.
According to Bahadur, when he examined the documents of the trainees, he realized that there were five women named Meenakshi. He said in his complaint, “I started investigating his documents, and when I found that the roll number on the documents of the accused was similar to someone who was training in Amroha. The father’s name in the document did not even match the father’s name,” he said in his complaint.
On June 21, an FIR was lodged at Sadar Bazar Police Station, in which Bharat was related to documents and cheating under the Judge sections. Meenakshi was arrested and later sent to judicial custody.
“She started preparing for her exam about two years ago. Her parents were taking her to various centers. A few months ago, she informed them that she was selected and was going to Saharanpur police lines for her training,” Rosanth Tyagi, Saads Bazar Bazaar Police Station, Rosant Tygi told Indian Express.
According to Tyagi, Meenakshi scanned the documents and forged them using the details of someone who shared her name and passed the exam. He said, “He edited his roll number with another Meenakshi, which made the exam eligible and reached here.”
