The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of Tripura announced on Tuesday that it would inspect the “day of Constitution murder” on 25 June, which was forbidden of the 50th year of Emergency, declared by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1975.
As part of a nationwide rearing, the saffron party will organize emergency related exhibitions, seminars and discussions on Wednesday.
“All the eight organizational district units of the party will inspect the ‘day of constitution’, or the 50th year of the Emergency,” BJP chief spokesperson Subrata Choreborty told reporters at Agartla, “,” with the entire country, “all eight organizational district units of the party.
Chakraborty said that there would be exhibitions in eight organizational districts and will participate in seminars and discussions among three state level speakers along with other party leaders, while Saturday will be celebrated in Sadar Urban and Sadar rural organizational districts.
“Sadar Urban District event will be held on June 28 at 11 am in Nazarul Kalakshetra (in Agartala),” Chakravarti said.
It was last year that the BJP -led Central Government nominated June 25 as a “Constitution Assassination Day”.
