Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said on Friday that the unemployment rate of the state was now less than the national average.
CM Saha said, “In an event held in Agrala to distribute appointment letters to 222 candidates who have got jobs in school education and health and family welfare departments, CM Saha said,” A survey by the Ministry of Statistics and Program has revealed that the percentage of unemployment in Tripura has come down by 1.7 percent, as is opposite to the national average. The Chief Minister further said that since the BJP came to power in the state in 2018, 19,484 candidates have secured government jobs.
CM Saha said, “Tripura is trying to improve skill development … According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directions,” CM Saha said, the level of overall efficiency among government employees across India is 53 percent unlike 33.95 percent till a few years ago.
Saying that Tripura has laid the foundation stone for projects worth more than Rs 638.65 crore in the last six months, the Chief Minister said that his government is focusing a lot on education, health, communication and tribal development in other areas.
