After the delay, India can get the first batch of Apache Choppers from America till July-end

Sources said that India is likely to receive three of the six AH64E Apache Attach Helicopters ordered by India by the end of this month. The Indian Express,

In 2020, India and the United States signed a contract for the purchase of six additional Apache helicopters for the army for the purchase of 22 helicopters for the Indian Air Force in 2015. All 22 helicopters have been distributed for IAF.

Six helicopters were to be distributed in three batches by last year. The delay has been held responsible for technical and supply chain issues.

This development will be important that it gives more teeth to the army as it seems to strengthen its fighter capabilities over the next few months, through significant procurement after Operation Sindoor, which India launched against the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan.

Helicopters of six new Apache attacks will be located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan for deployment with western borders with Pakistan. The Apache Squadron in Jodhpur was established last year by Army Aviation Corps.

Apart from Apache helicopters, light fighting helicopters in the army and IAF are also strong.

In March, the Ministry of Defense signed two contracts with the state -owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the supply of 156 LCH rigor, along with training and other affiliated equipment worth Rs 62,700 crore. The first contract is for the supply of 66 LCHS to the IAF, and the second is for the supply of 90 LCHS to the army.
