India's weather today: IMD issued flash-flood warning in Himachal, possibility of heavy rains in many states. Bharat News

The Meteorological Department of India (IMD) released an alert string as the rain continues that many parts of the country continue to bat.

In Himachal Pradesh, frequent rainfall triggers cloudbukes and flash floods, in which IMD predicts very heavy rainfall in the coming days.

An orange alert has also been issued for the northern state today, and flash-flood warnings in the next 24 hours. The state had 11 cloudburst incidents, four flash floods and a major landslides on Tuesday, claiming the life of 13 in Mandi district.

Northwest india

Heavy rains are expected in eastern Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab. In particular, Eastern Rajasthan may be a witness to very heavy rainfall on July 3, while for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, very heavy rainfall is predicted between July 5 to 7 to July 7.

West india

IMD has projected very heavy rainfall for South Konkan and Goa on 3 July, and on 3 July, 6 and 7 in the Ghat areas of Central Maharashtra. It has predicted very heavy rainfall for Konkan, Goa and Gujarat regions during the next seven days.

East and Central India

Separate heavy rainfall is expected in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. Eastern Madhya Pradesh can be a witness to very heavy rainfall during 3-7 July.

Northeast India

IMD predicted light for thunderstorms, lightning and light rain with thunderstorms in Northeast India over the next 7 days, isolated with very heavy rains at Meghalaya on 6 July.

South Peninsular India

On July 3, very heavy rainfall is expected in coastal and south interior Karnataka. Kerala, Mahe, and internal Karnataka may experience heavy rainfall during 3-6 July.

Kedarnath Yatra temporarily suspended

Meanwhile, Kedarnath’s pilgrimage was on Thursday (July 3), temporarily suspended after a landslide, which started with heavy rains in Munkati near Sonprayag N Marg for the Himalayan temple.

According to the police, the road has been completely blocked by debris and stones in the Muntia sliding zone, inspiring the administration to prevent the journey.

Some pilgrims returning from Gaurikund were trapped in the sliding zone, but the state was rescued by the Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
