Natchar MLA Kishore Burman was sworn in at a function as a minister in the Tripura government on Thursday, which was released by the ruling BJP colleagues -Tipra Motha and indigenous people as well as opposition CPM and Congress.

Whatever responsibility the party has given me to win elections in Bengal, I have tried to fulfill whatever responsibility I have given me.

Kishore Burman thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, other central BJP leaders and Chief Minister Manik Saha for re -confidence in him.

Asked if the new responsibilities would be a challenge, Kishore Burman said, “I think this is the beginning of a new chapter. I have no further challenge. We have met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha ahead of us. We will work under his leadership.”

After its inclusion, Tripura has vacated a berth in its 12-member cabinet. Nine of the eleven ministers belong to the BJP, while IPFT and Tipra Motha are one -one minister. Motha is also the Minister of State.

None of the MLA’s coalition partners was present at the swearing -in ceremony, nor was there any CPM or Congress MLA. Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, who is the MP of BJP’s West Tripura, was also absent in the ceremony.

The Leader of CPM opposition Jitendra Chaudhary told reporters that he was invited, but had to leave the incident due to prior busyness. Congress leaders were not available for comment, but sources said they were also invited.

For his share, Tipra Motha Supremo Kishore Debbarma said his party MLA Kharchi was busy in Pooja.

“I was informed about the swearing -in ceremony by DM at 9.30 am last night. I called the CM and informed him that I would travel and by the time I could reach the site, I could be late. I communicated my inability to attend the swearing -in ceremony.

The relationship between BJP and Tipra Motha was refused to be buried after Gomti District Magistrate Tadit Kanti Chakma and Poorna Chandra Jamatiya, the head of Tripura ADC, was denied, and the tribal party protested against the District Magistrate. But the two parties changed their relationship after transferring with several other officials in a major reshuffle of the state administration.

BJP MP Kriti Devi Singh Debabarm, who is the younger sister of Pradiyot Kishore, was present at the ceremony.

At the same time, Rajya Sabha MP Rajab Bhattacharjee was among the attendees, who are expected to be replaced as BJP state president in a few days. Sources say that a minister is likely to become a new party chief, given that the cabinet has found a new member.

When asked about the possibility of a vacant cabinet berth or any minister to fill organizational responsibilities, Chief Minister Saha said, “Time will tell.”

Kishore Burman won 2023 assembly elections from the SC-Regental Assembly constituency in SC-Regent in the district.

A postgraduate in Bengali from Tripura University, he served in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. 44 -year -old politicians were engaged in BJP’s organizational functions in North Bengal and campaigned for the party in Sikkim, Andaman and Tripura.

He was also part of the relief work of ABVP during Kokrajhar, Assam and Ella Cyclone and other natural disasters.
