RSS Publicity in-charge Sunil Ambekar said on Thursday that people from all sections of the society are joining the RSS and shows how they see the Sangh.
Ambekar was answering a question on a comment by Congress leader Priyank Kharge that it was a mistake to raise the ban on the RSS. Priyank, son of Congress chief Mallikrajun Kharge, criticized RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale’s comment, who was arguing whether the words were arguing Socialism and secularism should remain part of the preamble,
Ambekar demanded to clarify Hosabale’s statement.
“What Dutta ji has said is very clear. He has talked about all about everyone during the Emergency … as being tortured in jails … The Constitution was tortured. Therefore, after 50 years, there should be a debate on these issues, he said that it should be taken in that context,” he said.
Ambekar said: “People of different sections of society are joining the Sangh and are supporting it. It clearly shows how people see the Sangh.”
