Shubhanshu Shukla Study Bone Health, Radiation Risk on ISS | Bharat News

After a day’s holiday, astronaut Shubhinhu Shukla and others on Saturday studied other people of the Axiom-4 mission how bones react to microgravity conditions, an experiment that can lead to better treatment of osteoporosis on Earth.

On 10th Flight Day, Shukla also participated in an experiment for monitoring radiation risk at the International Space Station (ISS), which can help better protect astronauts on long space missions away from Earth.

Lucknow-born Shukla (39) is part of the 14-day mission for ISS operated by Axiom Space. Shukla, who has a call sign “shocks”, has a mission pilot, while experienced American astronaut Paigi is the commander of the Whitson Mission.

“Schux deploys samples for space micro algae tests. These small organisms can help maintain life in space one day, provide food, fuel, and even breathing air. But first, we need to understand how they grow and suited to microscopy,” Axiom Space said in a statement.

The crew participated in the bone on the ISS experiment, which provides insight out how bones in space deteriorate and how they recover back on Earth once.

By analyzing biological markers related to bone formation, inflammation and growth, researchers are building a digital twin – a virtual model that can simulate how an astronaut’s bones reacted to spaceflights and recovery, said that Axiom Space said.

“This individual approach can revolutionize the astronaut-health screening, allowing mission planners to predict the risk of skeletal and tailor countercers for each individual. Beyond the space, beyond the conclusions, the conclusions may have better treatment for the conditions related to osteoporosis and other bones here on Earth.

In a separate statement, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) stated that Shukla successfully completed the microgravity experiment by incorporating Tardigrades on ISS.

“The study focused on their existence, revival and reproductive behavior in space. The study would provide valuable insight into the underlying biological system, which is leading to the flexibility of extremist organisms in a microgravity environment and is a possible application on earth, especially in the medical field,” Iso said.

Other members of the Shukla and the Axiom-4 mission have been scheduled to interact with Lucy Low, the chief scientist of the Axiom space on Sunday, which is planned for the orbital laboratory on the progress of 20 science experiments for 14-day mourning.

Shukla also performed myogenesis studies, which examines the effects of microgravity on the upliftment of human muscles and is progressing with planned intervention and recording of comments according to the experiment protocol.

ISRO said that in parallel, other Indian experiments are underway to study selected strains of microalge and cyanobacteria under space conditions, regenerative life-support systems and research on the nutrition of crew, said ISRO.

As part of the electronic, human discomfort displays studies, Gaganatri assessed daily software-based cognitive and interfaces. The purpose of this study is to optimize the crew’s interaction with the digital system in the unique environment of space, said ISRO.
