Manik Dey, president of the Tripura Center (Citu) of the Indian Trade Unions and the Central Committee leader Manik Dey said on Tuesday that the state government was trying to “confuse” people at the Bharat bandh on Wednesday. He said that BJP -led governments at the Center and the state have created a serious crisis in the lives of workers.
Dey’s comment against the backdrop of Tripura minister Sudhangashu Das was said that the Bharat Bandh or nationwide workers’ strike would fail on Wednesday. Das also attacked the communists, saying that he was an agent of “anti-national, democratic, anti-traditional China and Pakistan”.
“The ruling party is trying to confuse some people about the nationwide strike … They are trying to work as if they are in favor of employment. It is surprising to see those who are trying to create an unemployed country in this country. The strike is to speak for the rights of the workers,” Day, East Tripura Transport Minister said.
He said, “Large -scale gas prices, CNG price hike, petrol and diesel price increase, insurance premium growth, and tax burden on various sections of workers were seen over the years. Transport sector workers, construction workers, tea garden workers and activists of various fields have been re -involved under a serious crisis,” he said.
Apart from expressing confidence that Bharata shutdown would be a success, Dey urged BJP workers to join the strike to struggle under the current economy.

Day’s comments came after Das, the Minister of Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Animal Resources Development and Fisheries posted a message on Facebook. “The dream of leftist communists, anti-national, democratic, anti-traditional China and Pakistan agents, one day they will call for a general strike across the state, and with their words, all the people of the state will leave their daily activities and sit at home.WanThe same is going to happen, the strike of these Maoist leftists will fail. Therefore, go and look at the Chinese agents, and let people live peacefully, ”Das said in his post.
In a video message on Tuesday, the minister said that leftist parties were trying to create unrest in the state and gain power through unfair means. The minister has claimed that the strike has been asked to make a mess and test the organizational strength of the communist parties, the minister claimed, and urged people to reject the “anti-employment” strike.

In response, Dey said, “These comments were made to confuse people. These ministers have been making such comments for a long time. These comments will be ridiculous … Communists have a long history of living with people in favor of their rights.”
Last week, the state government issued a notification, in which all the departments on Wednesday asked the General Administration Department to submit a report on the employee attendance by the same day.
A platform of 10 trade unions had announced a nationwide general strike on Wednesday and hoped that more than 25 crore workers in various areas including banking, insurance, postal, mining, construction, etc. would participate in protest.
