Amit Shah inaugurated BJP's new state committee office in Kerala

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday inaugurated the new BJP State Committee’s Office Marnerji Bhavan here before starting the party’s campaign for the upcoming local body elections and the next year for the next year.

Shah hoisted the party’s flag, put a sapling in front of the building, cut the ribbon to enter the premises and lit a traditional lamp to mark the official opening of the new office.

The Union Home Minister, who arrived in Kerala late on Friday night, paid floral tributes for a bronze half-bust of former BJP state president KG Marar, which has been installed in the Central Hall of the new building.

Shah was accompanied by BJP state president Rajiv Chandrashekhar and other senior leaders of the party’s Kerala unit, while he visited the new building.

The Union Home Minister was also informed about various facilities available in the new party office. After the inauguration, Shah will attend a large ward-level leadership meeting at Paryikandam Maidan at 11.30 am.

Later in the afternoon, Shah will attend a closed door BJP state leadership meeting, where the discussion will focus on the preparation of the upcoming local body elections in Kerala.

He is expected to leave Thiruvananthapuram for Kannur by 4 pm, where he will visit the famous Rajarajoshwar temple in Taliparmba before returning to Delhi, according to his journey released by the party.

Next to his arrival in Kannur, the District Collector has banned the use of drones, paraglider, hot air balloons or any other unmanned air vehicles in a five -kilometer radius around the airport for three days.
