Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Tianjin, China next week, to attend a meeting of Foreign Minister’s meeting in a meeting of Foreign Ministers, about two weeks after Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited the country.

SCO consists of 10 members: China, Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus.

This will be Jaishankar’s first visit to China since the 2020 military deadlock with the Line of Real Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, which made bilateral relations severely tense.

Rajnath Singh was in Kingdao for a meeting of SCO Defense Ministers last month, where he met Chinese Defense Minister General Dong June on 26 June.
