Center prices for open market sale of wheat 10.86% and rice 3% prices India News

The Center has increased the reserved price of wheat and rice by 10.86 percent and 3 percent respectively for sale under the Open-Market Scheme Scheme Scheme Scheme Scheme Scheme Scheme Scheme (OMSS-D) during the 2025-26 financial year.

The wheat reserve price prescribed for the financial year 2025-26 is 10.86 percent higher than Rs 2,300 per quintal in the previous financial year (2024-25).

While the Food and Public Distribution Department (DFPD) has fixed the reserve price of wheat, it has not announced the quantity of selling through the open market sales scheme. The quantity sold will be decided by the Food Corporation of India (FCI).

“The amount of shares is ODED and to be on time, considering the stock holding stocks at the relevant time, after keeping the stock for the need of PDS in consultation with DFPD, BU and ER Criteria and additional volume of 20 LMT can be used, which can be used in any kind of condition,”.

The existing reserve price of rice will continue till October 31, 2025, and the price increase of 3 percent will be applicable from 1 November.

From 1 November, the reserve price of rice with 25% broken grains for private parties and cooperative societies/cooperative unions through e-auction will increase from Rs 2,800 per quintal to Rs 2,890 per quintal.

In the reserve price of rice for sale to state governments and their corporations, and ethanol distilleries for the production of ethanol, per quintal per quintal per quintal per quintal per quintal will increase by Rs 2,320.
