India and China should now look at the de-size of the situation along the line of real control after “good progress” in normalizing bilateral relations in the last nine months, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said on Monday that he had a comprehensive conversation with his Chinese counterpart Wang Wang Yi.
In his initial comments at the meeting, Jaishankar said that the relationship between the two countries may develop in the “positive trajectory” on the foundation that the differences should not be controversial and there should be no competition conflict.
The Foreign Minister also underlined the need to avoid “restrictive” trade measures and “obstacles”, in a clear context to prevent the export of vital minerals. The conversation between the two foreign ministers took place a few hours after Jaishankar landed in China to participate in a Conclave of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
“Our bilateral relationship requires that we see a far-off approach to our relationships,” he said. “Since the meeting of our leaders in Kazan in October 2024, India-China relations are slowly moving in a positive direction. Our responsibility is to maintain that speed,” he said. Jaishankar was referring to a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping
On 23 October, Kazan decided to revive various dialogues between the two sides to fix the hit relationship with deadly clashes in the Galvan Valley. “We have made good progress in the last nine months for generalization of our bilateral relations. This is the result of the resolve of friction with the limit and our ability to maintain peace and peace there,” Foreign minister Said.

He said, “This is a fundamental basis for mutual strategic trusts and for smooth development of bilateral relations. Now it is up to us to address other aspects related to the border, including de-signs, which includes de-signs,” he said.
Jaishankar said that as neighboring countries and major economies, there are various aspects and dimensions for India-China relations. He said, “Our people-to-people can definitely promote mutually beneficial cooperation towards normalizing the exchange of people. It is also necessary in this context that restrictive trade measures and obstacles are avoided. I hope these issues will be discussed further in detail,” he said.

The Foreign Minister said that stable and creative relations between India and China are not only beneficial for both sides, but also with the world. “This is best done by handling relationships based on mutual respect, mutual interest and mutual sensitivity,” he said.
“We have already agreed that differences should not be disputed, nor competition should ever fight. On this foundation, now we can continue to develop our relationship with a positive trajectory,” he said.
