The police on Tuesday accused the son of Congress MLA Sena Mahesh Patel of trying to run police constables with their SUVs in Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
Pushpraj Patel, whose mother Army Mahesh Patel is an MLA from Jobat, has been booked for attempt to murder. He is currently absconding, the police said.
The alleged incident occurred near the Alirajpur bus stand on the night between Saturday and Sunday, when two constables on the night patrol tried to flag down a high -speed SUV. CCTV footage depicts one of the constables that indicate to stop the vehicle as it reached a police barricade. Instead, through the SUV blockade, faster entered the authorities.
Policemen were seen disintegrating to avoid being a hit. A constable survived by jumping on one side, while the other was allegedly killed before crashing into an electric pole. The condition of the injured constable is not clear.
Alirajpur Superintendent of Police Rajesh Vyas told The Indian Express that a team has been formed to arrest the arrest of the suspect, saying that the department has taken cognizance of the video.

Vyas told the Indian Express, “We have taken cognizance of the video and formed teams to arrest the accused. The vehicle was run at a high speed and the policemen were almost killed.”
He further said: “A constable indicated the driver to stop, but the SUV continued at a high speed, left fast, and led directly to the policemen. An officer was injured. We have formed teams to arrest the accused”.
