Officials said on Friday that Madhya Pradesh Police had started an investigation after a BJP worker was killed on his bed in Mandsaur.
Shyamlal Dhakad (45) was the vice president of BJP’s Buddha Mandal in Malhargarh assembly constituency, which is represented by Deputy Chief Minister and four -time MLA Jagdish Devda.
Dhakad was found dead by his son when he went to his father’s room, built on the roof of his house, to give him tea.
Mandsaur SP Abhishek Anand said that the deceased was repeatedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon, “He died, due to many wounds”. Autopsy report is awaited, he said. Police suspect that the killer entered the dhakad’s room through a shed, which was constructed in the premises of their house.
