Parliament’s monsoon session: As the monsoon session of Parliament shut down today (July 21), Operation Sindoor and US President Donald Trump’s claims of ceasefire are among the major issues that the government is ready for discussions. This session will include a total of 21 seating, which are spread over 32 days, and will end on 21 August. In the middle, both houses will be postponed on August 12, 2025, and will assure the convenience of Independence Day celebrations on Monday, August 18. Seven pending bills are listed for ideas and passing and eight bills have listed Ben for introduction, idea and passing.
Bills are likely to: A total of 17 bills are expected during the monsoon session, as discussed in the all-party meeting held on June 20, including the Income Tax Bill, 2025; Coastal shipping bill, 2024; The Bill of Lading Bill, 2024; And Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025 – which will change an ordinance. Discussions and voting on demands for grant (Manipur) for the year 2025-26 are also scheduled. It is also expected from demanding the approval of the President’s rule imposed by the President on February 13, 2025 in Manipur.

All-party meeting held before session: A meeting with leaders of political parties was held on 20 July to discuss matters related to the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament, 2025. While the Center has accepted the demand of the opposition to organize a debate on Operation Sindoor, it is yet to take a call about the debate on the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the electoral rolls in the pole-bound Bihar.
