The video filed by the 51-year-old Assistant Sub-Optient (ASI) allegedly shook the police force in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh and inspired an investigation.
The officer, Pramod Pawan, was stationed at Godon police station and found hanging inside his official quarters in the early hours of Tuesday. A few hours before his death, in a series of videos, ASI Pavan, wearing his uniform, accused senior officials and local mafia members of the local mafia of mental harassment, misuse of caste and criminal collusion.
In the clip, Pawan alleged that he was facing harassment since he intercepted the illegal mining sand-carrying tractor-trolley, allegedly associated with a local mafia operative. He claimed in a video, “Since then, I too have been denied basic permissions. I cannot leave the station for the Aadhaar or Samagra card. Caste slars are regular. I have been threatened with a tractor to be run by a tractor,” he claimed in a video.
Pawan accused his senior of hurting him and preserving illegal sand mining and gambling racket. The officers named in the video have not responded to the allegations.
In another video, Pawan claimed that Dense is underway to open gambling in the area with the support of the same authorities.
Hours after hanging in his official residence in his body, Godon police station in -charge, Arvind Singh Bhadoria was removed from his post and the investigation related to police lines was pending. A formal investigation has been initiated under the Deputy Superintendent of Police (AJK) to ensure fairness.
A senior police officer said, “It was found hanging in its official quarters in the ASI police station premises. The investigation is going on completely. Each video will be reviewed fairly, and the documents shared by them will be thoroughly investigated. No one will be spared when the guilty is guilty.”
