Between the Row on the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the election role in Bihar before the scheduled assembly elections at the end of this year, Giridhari Yadav, a JD (U) MP, the ruling party of the state and a BJP ally on Wednesday said that the Election Commission said that it was a “Tughlai”.
Talking with ANI outside Parliament, Banka MP said, “The Election Commission has no practical knowledge. It neither knows history nor geography of Bihar; it does not know anything.”
He asked how would anyone arrange the documents required for the head when farming is going on in the midst of this monsoon season. The MP said, “It took me 10 days to arrange all the documents,” the MP said that his son lives in America. “How will he sign in just one month?”
Yadav said, “This (sir) has been forcefully imposed on us,” arguing that if the Election Commission had to do so, “they should have given six months time …”
The JD (U) leader said, “This is the decree of Chunav Ayog,” said the JD (U) leader.
However, the MP clarified that he was giving his “personal opinion” and this “what his party is saying”.
“How my son will sign in America, you will tell me,” he said. “I am telling you my experience … This is my independent idea … This is the truth. If I cannot tell the truth, why have I become an MP?”
The comments of the JD (U) MP are in line with the argument of Bihar leader Tejashvi Yadav, who argues in the assembly today, where in the first half of the session, he said that he is “not against Sir, but is a hasty process.”
