India on Wednesday responded to a UK publication report, claiming that the remains of some British victims of June 12 were incorrectly identified before repatriation of Air India crash in Ahmedabad.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Mea spokesperson Randhir Jiswal said: “We have seen the report and are working on behalf of Britain, when these concerns and issues were brought to our attention. All mortal remains were handled with extremely professionalism and with the appropriate relationship for the dignity of the dead.”

He said that Indian officials continue to coordinate with their British counterparts to solve any ongoing concerns.
