Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday formally signed the long -awaited Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the United Kingdom as he met the British Prime Minister Kir Stmper, stating that the two countries have described the two countries as a significant turn in bilateral relations.
Earlier today, PM Modi arrived in London for a two -day visit, where King Charles is expected to meet. The Prime Minister said in his departure statement, “During my meeting with the Prime Minister Kir Stmper, we will have an opportunity to further increase our economic partnership, which aims to promote prosperity, development and employment generation in both countries. I am eager to call His Majesty Raja Charles III during the journey.”
A few hours before meeting PM Modi, Star called India’s trade deal ‘plan to change action’.

On his arrival, PM Modi was congratulated by members of the Indian migrants on his arrival. Sharing pictures of the reception on social media, he wrote: “His affection and passion for India’s progress, welcoming the Indian community warmly in Britain, is really heartbreaking.”

After the UK, PM travels to Maldives to attend the 60th Independence Day celebrations of the country as a guest honor. There is also a 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between India and Maldives this year.
