As the opposition protested against Sir, both houses were postponed for the day

Amidst the continuous protest against the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Bihar, both houses of Parliament were adjourned for the fourth day on Thursday.

In the morning, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla appealed to the opposition members to raise slogans and maintain Decorum after displaying the placard.

Birla said, “… You are a member of such an old political party who has contributed to this house and its decoration. Your party people will look at your behavior in the house. You bring placards, raise slogans, make a bang table. It is not according to Dekeram.”

Referring to Congress MP KC Venugopal, Birla said, “This is the biggest democracy. What kind of messages are you sending the country’s Democratic institutions? Between Deen, Birla postponed the proceedings in less than seven minutes.

When LS organized again at 2 pm, Krishna Prasad Tenteti, who was on the chair urged the MPs to participate in the discussion on the bill, which is re -part of the representation of Scheduled Tribes in the state’s assembly constituencies of 2024, which wants to provide seats for STS in Goa Assembly.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal questioned the opposition for not allowing the discussion. “The opposition is not cooperating. This means that they do not want to discuss (issues) in the interests of STS,” he said. As the protest continued, the proceedings were adjourned for the day.

In rupees, Deputy Chairman Harivansh postponed the House till 2 pm amid opposition to protest. When the house sat again, Bhuvaneshwar Kalita, who was on the chair, urged the MPs to start a discussion on the car of the goods by the sea bill, but the proceedings were postponed within 15 minutes, amidst the slogans by opposition members.

AIADMK’s Thambidurai and YSRCP’s Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy spoke on the bill, but barely there were audio among the slogans. BJP MP Laxmikant Bajpai urged to take action against opposition MPs under Rule 235 (ii). Pramod Tiwari of Congress said that Lop Mallikrajun Kharge should be allowed to speak. “… Lop is on your feet, but you are not giving him a chance to speak, nor are you giving any assurance …” the chair postponed the house.
