The Election Commission said on Thursday that the “99%” of 7.89 crore registered voters of Bihar was “covered” during the ongoing special amendment (SIR) and less than 7 lakh forms were obtained, for a time to submit the form for a day.

According to the EC order of June 24, all the existing voters were required to submit the calculation form till Friday, 25 July, so that the drafts published on 1 August remained on the electoral role.

On Thursday, EC stated that 7.21 crore voters (91.32%) were obtained and digitized. The EC stated that 21.6 lakh voters were dead by booth level officials (BLOS) and booth level agents (BLAS) dead, 31.5 lakh migration of political parties and reported as 7 lakhs registered at more than 7 lakh places.

“Despite the trips to the door-to-door by the local Blossy/Blass, forms of forms as less than 7 lakhs are still not obtained. As per Sir order, the draft election roll will be published on 1 August 2025, and all 12 political parties (national and state parties) will be provided digital copies along with being printed.”
