The Ministry of Defense announced an essay-writing competition on Operation Sindoor. The award is… | Bharat News

The Union Ministry of Defense has announced a national essay writing competition on Operation Sindoor from 1 June to 30 June.

The ministry said that the top three winners would be awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000 every Rs 10,000 and will be given an opportunity to attend the 78th Independence Day celebrations in Red Fort, Delhi.

The Ministry wrote on X (East Twitter), “The Ministry of Defense has invited young minds to listen to its voices!

The Indian armed forces operated Operation Sindoor on the night intervening between May 6 and May 7, targeted terrorist infrastructure inside Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, on 22 April under the retaliation of the Pahgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 citizens.

Pakistan responded with a series of cross -border firing in Jammu and Kashmir and a series of military installations and drone attacks targeting civil areas, most of which were thwarted by Indian air defense systems. India also hit Pakistani airbase including Noor Khan Airbase in Islamabad. The enmity lasted till May 10, when the two countries declared a ceasefire.

During his address on 12 May, PM Narendra Modi drawn a ‘new red line’, clarifying India’s defined principle against cross-border terrorism. He said that the acts of terror would be completed with a response, saying that India would not differentiate between terrorists and state-operators of terror.

Currently, India has sent seven multi-sided delegations-three of which are led by opposition leaders, including Shashi Tharoor of Congress-to rally a global support for India’s war against Atanka.
