Tripura officials said on Sunday that in the last 24 hours, large parts of North Tripura, Unakoti, Dhalai, Sapahizla and West Tripura districts were rained and thunderstorms, in many areas in the state, Tripura officials said on Sunday.
In the West Tripura district, Bodhjungnagar rained 198.5 mm alone in the last 48 hours.
Talking to this publication, a senior revenue department official said that the heavy rain mantra damaged many houses and uprooted trees. A total of 7,109 people from 1,623 families have been transferred to 34 relief camps set up by the government.
All roads blocked by trees officially reported by trees were cleaned by forest department, local administration and disaster management volunteers.
Pratapgarh, Aralia, Radhanagar, Pragati Road, Jogendranagar, Masterpara, Sukanta Palli, Nogaon, Bittaban Slum, and many other areas in Efartla and Sadar sub-divisions in the surrounding Sadar sub-division in West Tripura district were crossed the danger level till 11 am on Sunday.

According to disaster management officials, the danger level for the Hora River is 10.50 meters and the significant danger level is 11 meters, while the river was flowing at 10.92 meters on Sunday morning.
The river Juri and the river Kakri in Dharamanagar in North Tripura district also crossed the important level on Sunday morning. All other rivers of the state were found to be flowing below the expected flood level.

Images and videos of cars and houses immersed in flood waters have gone viral on social media. However, Agartala Mayor Deepak Mazumor assured the citizens that the municipal officials were working around the clock to get the flood waters out and urged them not to worry and follow government instructions.
The weather forecast on Sunday said that in the next 24 hours, there is a lot of possibility of light to moderate rainfall and thunder in all the districts of Tripura. The winds that reach 40–50 km per hour are also expected at some places with thunderstorms.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who is visiting the flood affected areas on Sunday, deployed on social media, “The continuous rains for the last two days have flooded various parts of the West Tripura district. About 1,300 families have taken shelter in government shelter houses. Pumps are also running.
The price of floods last year is 38 in addition to affecting more than 38 lakh people, and the estimated loss is worth Rs 15,000 crore.

More than two lakh people across the state were transferred to 889 relief camps as flood waters had submerged large tracts in all eight districts.
