The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) on Tuesday announced the results of entrance examinations for both medical and engineering subjects.
In PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) Group, Deepjoy Das finished first, while Trishrota Das and Arnab Nath finished second and third respectively. Ananya Debnath topped the PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) group, while Saptadeep Pal and Debprasad Saha secured second and third place respectively.
TBJEE President Dr. “TBJEE results are available on websites since this evening, logging in their user names and passwords by logging in their user names and passwords,” Subdeep Paul told reporters in AARAartala.
The Tripura Joint Entrance Examination was held on 23 April at 15 centers across the state. Eight of these were in the West Tripura district, while each of the remaining seven districts had an examination center.
The President of TBJEE said, “We have conducted a joint entrance examination in 15 examination centers with 5,296 candidates this year. It includes 2,785 women and 2,515 men”.
The official said that out of these candidates, 2,248 nominations for PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) Group, and 4,652 candidates have appeared for the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) group. Among them, 1989 (88.48 percent) students appeared in the PCM group, while 4332 (more than 93 percent) students appeared in the PCB group.
Another board official said, “In the first phase, they have to register, and in the second phase, the option is to be filled. The board will verify the documents of the candidates between two steps. Students need to bring their permanent residents of the Tripura certificate during their counseling process.”

PCB has 750-800 seats and PCM has 650-700 seats, the official said.
