Check to keep June heat in above-normal rainfall: IMD | Bharat News

The Meteorological Department of India (IMD) said on Tuesday that this year cooler-to-normal summer is expected to rise till June, which is expected to maintain a lot of rain temperatures.

In its second phase forecast for the monsoon season, IMD predicted eight percent more rainfall for June than a long -term average (LPA).

This amended one upward in its forecast for the four-month June-September rainy season. IMD said that the entire country was expected to receive rainfall, which was 106 percent of LPA for the entire season. During this period, it had predicted 105 percent rainfall earlier.

The month of June usually brings about 166 mm of rain to the country. IMD said that this year, rainfall may be eight percent more. But there is no possibility of more rainfall in all areas. Northern parts including Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and North-East region are expected to receive below normal rainfall during the month.

Being the month of the beginning of the June monsoon, summer usually continues on North and North -West India. However, this year, the maximum temperature is expected to be below normal due to affiliated rains. But the cloud sky can push the night temperature above normal. IMD said that the days of heatwave in June would be below normal.

For the first time, IMD issued seasonal rainfall forecast at the level of meteorological sub-division. India is divided into 36 meteorological sub-divisions, many of them are embodied with the boundaries of the state. States such as Karnataka and Maharashtra have many sub-divisions, while some states, such as Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, form a single sub-division.

IMD forecast said that only Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, and possibly Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, are likely to be obtained below the rains during the season during the season. Every other state is likely to be above normal or normal rainfall. Importantly, the monsoon core region, which included most of the rainfall, will also receive normal (more than 106 percent of LPA) rainfall.

M Ravichandran, secretary of the Ministry of Earth Sciences M Revichandran said, “El Nino Southern oscillations (ENSO) and the Indian Ocean Bipolar (IOD) had many large -scale characteristics, resulting in the early arrival of monsoon on the Kerala coast.”

IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said, “Heatwave will be limited to Northwest India.”
