Officials said on Tuesday that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) said on Tuesday that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had charged three more accused in the case of illegal weapons, ammunition and explosives supply to the rebels in Mizoram.

Trikadi, Vanlaldelova, Lalmuanapuya and Lalrinchunga alias Albert, Mizoram were identified as hailstorm, he said.

He was arrested on 6 December 2024, after the seizure of weapons, ammunition and explosive material during the discoveries in his residences.

Investigation revealed that the three had played an important role in increasing ethnic violence in Manipur through supporting terrorist activities and distribution of arms to rebel groups, claiming the officials.

Officials alleged that they had raised funds with knowledge that income would be used to procure arms for terrorist activities, threatening public orders and national integrity.

Celebration offer

Vanlaldailova, a licensed weapon and ammunition dealer (M/s israel weapon and ammunition, serchhip), hatched a conspiracy with two other Mizoram-based co-composed lalngaihawma and lalmunawma, which for the purchase of arms and illegally for weapons and for terrorist activities.

According to the investigating agency, he had misused his dealership to promote such activities.

The statement said that Lalmuanapuya and Lalrinchunga had actively participated in this illegal network by facilitating the purchase and distribution of weapons, ammunition and explosives for rebellious use.

Lallinchunga was also engaged in illegal construction and repair of firearms.

In December 2023, a case was registered by the NIA in New Delhi by the NIA, based on the reliable input related to the participation of arms, ammunition and explosives in the northeastern region including Delhi and other parts of India.

The main charge sheet was filed against Lalngaihawma in July 2024, followed by a supplementary charge sheet against Solomona in November.

In the second supplementary charge sheet filed before the NIA Special Court on Monday, Vanlaldelova, Lalmuanpuya and Lalrinchunga have been charged under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Arms Act, 1959, Explosives Act, 1908, and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
