Claimed in the sexual harassment case of Anna University, a knowledgeable, was sentenced to life period for a minimum period of 30 years without exemption by a women court in Chennai.
On May 28, a 37 -year -old, a biryani seller and repeated criminals, was convicted for sexual harassment in the Anna University campus in December last year. The case created a statewide displeasure and formed a special investigation team by the Madras High Court.
She was declared guilty under 11 sections of various laws, including the Indian Justice, Information Technology Act, and Tamil Nadu prohibition of harassment of the Women’s Act.
Mahila Court Judge M Rajalakshmi said that the punishment runs concurrently, according to this PTI,
Gyansekaran is a resident of Kottur and a known history-master.
Sit, fully made up of senior female officers, completed her investigation and filed a detailed charge sheet in February 2025. The case was later transferred to the Women’s Court, where the test began.
