Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Wednesday that the monsoon session of Parliament would begin on July 21, and will run till August 12. Both houses of Parliament will be prescribed to call after a break of more than three months on July 21 at 11 am.
The cabinet committee has recommended dates on parliamentary matters chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Rijiju told reporters, as has been quoted by PTI.
The budget session of Parliament closed on 31 January this year. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were postponed on April 4, concluding the first Parliament session of 2025.
The announcement of the date of the monsoon session comes in the same way that opposition leaders extended for a special Parliament session for a special Parliament session to discuss Operation Operation Sindor, where India killed nine terrorist sites in Pakistan and Nine -occupied Kashmir in Pakistan.
Under the rules, all issues can be discussed during the monsoon session, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs said while answering a question on the demand of the opposition.
