Officials said the Nagaur district administration has given prohibitory orders under the Indian Citizen Security Sanhita (BNSS) to prevent “caste tension” ahead of rallies by Rajputs and Jat organizations.
The rallies were said after objectionable comments made by Nagaur Lok Sabha MP Hanuman Beniwal.
According to the orders issued on Thursday, Nagaur Collector and District Magistrate Arun Kumar Purohit said: “(D) Kshatriya Karni Army is appealing to organize a Mahasmelane at the district headquarters, Nagaur on 08.06.2025, which is hergumen due to the village. Above two proposed programs, and the chances of two programs organized in one day, and both programs, there are chances of conflict and law and order to be organized in one day. Is.
Citing these circumstances and to maintain peace and law and order in the district, the Collector imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of BNS. The provision is related to the power of issuing orders in immediate cases of nuisance or apprehension danger. As part of the order, there is a complete ban on rallies, protests and processions etc. by June 20.
The tension began mainly after being seen as a Jat leader as a Jat leader, allegedly made objectionable claims against the Rajputs regarding the Mughals.

In response, Raj Shekhawat, a Kshatriyas Karni Sena self-style leader, asked a Kshatriya self-respecting Asmita Mahasammelan to protect the self-esteem of our ancestors, Kshatrani, gods and goddesses and great men. He said that “Kshatriya has hurt” Kshatriya pride “and this was not the first time.” Either we would create history.
The Shekhawat has been holding meetings in Nagaur for the last few weeks to gather support for the Shekhawat rally, demanding the termination of the Lok Sabha membership of Beniwal and demanding police action against him. An outsider, his campaign was met by BJP leader Dhananjai Khimsar, son of Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Gajendra Singh, when he received a shot in his hand. However, Dhananjai indicated that it was a simple conversation because “all welcome their place” and it was not a meeting to exclude a “strategy”. Attacking those who spread the “rumors”, he said that “is the essence of dialogue service and politics.”

Nagaur and beyond, Shekhawat’s works have been opposed by both Rajput and Jat organizations on a large scale. Shri Amar Educational Society, a respected Rajput organization in Nagaur, said the rally would have a negative impact on the mutual brotherhood of 36 Quam (communities) “and requested the District Collector to ban Shekhawat’s rally. The Jat Samaj Samaon Samiti called it a “milestone” towards ensuring a harmonious atmosphere in the district, keeping in mind the “magnificent” of the Rajputs to demand a ban on the Shekhawat rally.
While some senior leaders have maintained their silence on the issue, JAT student leader Nirmal Chaudhary, Congress associated with Congress, and Ramvatar Palsania, others have openly supported Beniwal.
The Jat Outfit Tejner Sena, who called another rally in Kharanl, welcomed the administration’s move to ban Karni Sena rally. Claiming that his khaneal program “is completely religious, peaceful and cultural in nature, which has no relation with any kind of rally, performance or any activity affecting social harmony” The Army said that its sole purpose is to visit Veer Tejji temple in Karnal and it will proceed as a planned.
When asked about the plan of Tejwar Army to proceed with its program, Nagaur Superintendent of Police Narayan Togas told The Indian Express that “people will not be allowed to gather at any one place at any place” for a period of prohibited orders.
